Polar Express At The OML Was A Huge Hit!

The Oxford Memorial Library welcomed more than 60 passengers for a trip to the North Pole on the Polar Express. Bill Brower, a.k.a. Mr. Conductor, once again, brought the classic childrens' book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg, to life for passengers of all ages. Following the ride, passengers were surprised by a special guest, SANTA! There was a collective gasp from children and adults when Santa made his entrance. Every child had an opportunity to sit on Santa's lap and give him some, in-person, requests for Christmas morning. Every child received a present (book), a candy cane, and a bell. Passengers were also treated to some hot cocoa and cookies for snack. It was a great evening. Thank you to all who attended! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Blessed New Year!
